Title: Simulations of flux emergence events

Abstract
In this lecture, we will review the theoretical/numerical effort that has been carried out to understand the emergence of magnetic flux from the upper layers of the convection zone up to the solar atmosphere and the subsequent related phenomena such as Ellerman bombs, UV bursts, surges and coronal jets.
