BRAMS (Belgian RAdio Meteor Stations) is a network of radio receiving stations using forward scattering techniques to study the meteoroid population. It is also a very fruitful collaboration between professionals and amateurs since most stations are hosted either by Belgian radioamateurs, groups of amateur astronomers or astronomical public observatories.
The BRAMS team is also very dedicated to spreading their knowledge to colleagues, and to the public. Now they have produced a short movie that explains the difference between meteoroids, meteors and meteorites, radio observations of meteors, BRAMS, and what you see in a spectrogram. Watch it on our youtube channel.
