Title: Intermittent energy release in the solar atmosphere

Abstract
Magnetic reconnection is a fundamental physical process in various astrophysical, space, and laboratory plasma. In solar plasma, it is even believed to be a key mechanism such as to heat up the corona and drive solar eruptions. In this talk, I will present observations of a long stretched current sheet in the wake of erupting CMEs, in which the reconnection is proved to be turbulent, likely caused by tearing mode instability as revealed by high-resolution 2.5D MHD simulation of current sheet. I will also show microwave imaging observations of intermittent reconnection that displays an obvious quasi-periodicity, indicating quasi-periodical electron acceleration. In the end, some evidence for intermittent reconnection building up the pre-eruptive filament channel will also be presented.
