Title: Insights on CME kinematics in inner corona, and the imprint of their source regions

Abstract
The major challenges faced towards a holistic understanding of CME kinematics are due to the paucity of information in the inner corona(<3R) and projection effects.
In this talk, I will take you through thework I have been doing during my PhD., vividly highlighting on the crucial improvements in our understandings of CME kinematics that we have arrived at, especially in the inner corona region, by reducing the drawbacks posed by the above two factors. I will talk about how the CME acceleration and width evolution profiles can be unified to find an observational imprint of Lorentz force. I will also talk about the insights we get by extending the application of the well known Graduated Cylindrical Shell (GCS) model to the ground based coronagraph K-Cor/MLSO, and how a study of the evolution of the 3D volume can throw light on its overall behaviour.
I will also briefly touch upon the essence of the imprint on CME source regions, on the various kinematic properties that they exhibit, thus helping ameliorate our understanding of the former as an attempt to understand the later.
