SWAMI - Space Weather Atmosphere Model and Indices

The SWAMI project is now just past the midway point, and we have made good progress.
What did we achieve so far:

• A new high-cadence geomagnetic index has been developed by GFZ, Hp (30, 60 and 90 minutes cadence), which is based on the same data used in the calculation of Kp;
• The Unified Model of the Met Office, which lid is now 65 km higher, at 150 km, than it was at the start of the project;
• The DTM thermosphere model of CNES was improved through a combination of ingestion of more data, better data screening, and a new geomagnetic perturbation algorithm that uses Hp.
