The ionospheric disturbances makes serious disabilities for the use of radio communications, broadcast and satellite positioning. The nowcast and forecast of the utility of radio wave becomes more important with increasing the utitilty of drone, automatic driving system or any other operations with precise positioning system.
One of the biggest users of Space Weather information services is the users of radiowave. Recently there are many researches for monitoring and predicting ionospheric conditions for safe and stable use of radiowave.
n Japan, under the umbrella of PSTEPS project, we have been developing radiowave propagation simulator "HF-START" and now start to collaborate with CNES, France, to extend it to L-band for the GNSS use.
Similar collaboration by CBK PAN Poland, INGV Italy and FMI Finland, has been established for new service development for HF purposes within pan-European project PECASUS.
The importance of radio science challenges and international cooperation has been stressed by recent initiative undertaken by the International Union of Radio Science of dedicated workshop.
In this Topical discussion session, we woulc like to have potential future cooperation for expecting synergic improvement in this field.
