Topical discussion meetings

Each year, during the European Space Weather Week (ESWW) conference, people from all over the world gather to discuss the newest insights in space weather and try to find appropriate answers to the challenges and threats that space weather imposes. Science, data exploitation, observations, service development, operational models, engineering, industrial challenges, etc. are all relevant and most important aspects of space weather.

One of the strengths of the conference is that the participants can contribute largely to its content. Topical Discussion Meetings are an important part of the program and are organised by a round table format with plenty of room for discussion. A Topical Discussion Meeting aims at active participation or interaction between the participants. The participants work and discuss on a predefined theme or problem heading towards an outcome or target.

We would like to invite and encourage you and your colleagues to submit proposals for Topical Discussion Meetings on ESWW18. The submission closes on July 1 included.

The ESWW Programme Committee will decide which of the submitted Topical Discussion Meetings are accepted. Submitters will be notified in the course of the month July.
Note that a brief summary report should be submitted by the conveners shortly after the meeting.

Kind regards
Mario Bisi and Mateja Dumbovic, on behalf of the ESWW2022 PC
